Dear Supporter:

With much regret, The Showdown Rodeo has reached a difficult decision in conjunction with its partner, the City of Palmdale, that due to the economy, we must cancel this year's PRCA rodeo and PBR events.

Unfortunately, this cancellation also extends to the Tamale Festival and many of the other events associated with the Showdown Rodeo at Desert Sands Park in the City of Palmdale.

We wish to thank all our faithful friends, sponsors, supporters and the many volunteers who have helped make this event a success in the past. We look forward to coming back stronger and bigger in the very near future.
